Fetchin Farms has been in business since 2008 and began with a small herd from Haystack Goat Dairy. Our goats are free ranged on 15 lush acres in the heart of Erie. We raise La Mancha, La Mancha/Alpine goats. We also have a very active internship program and work closely with volunteers to learn about dairy goats and goat&amp;amp;amp;nbsp;husbandry. Goats are fed alfalfa hay and soy-free grain daily, with free-feed minerals and fresh water. Our philosophy is to educate the public as to the nature of goat milking via volunteer/intern programs (we take two volunteers each season), small farm tours and raw milk shares for the surrounding community. We attempt to milk year-round. All of our goats are CAE free as well as tested for TB and Brucellosis annually. Pick up is available in both Arvada and Erie!

Products Offered: Raw goat milk. Farm Description: We live on one acre in Boulder County. The dairy herd currently consists of eight does; 3 Nubians, 2 Saaens and 3 La Manchas. We have about 20 laying hens and some years we raise chickens for meat. There is also a vegetable garden for our use. Farm Management Philosophy: I have a deep respect for the goats. I'm committed to meeting their needs and they in turn contribute high quality milk. I keep them healthy and content by paying attention to them individually, giving them good clean feed, comfortable living conditions, including plenty of room to exercise, shelter and dry bedding, regular routine, fresh water, appropriate grooming and natural health care. I use herbal and Homeopathic medicines on the goats when needed. Only when necessary do I use antibiotic treatment. (Milk withdrawal is closely monitored in the case of antibiotic use.) They eat unsprayed alfalfa, organic grain and have access to pasture. Generally I will plan to freshen the does in March and have them dried off during January and February.</p>

Johnson's Acres distributes raw milk given by their 16 Jersey, Brown Swiss, and Holstein cows. We test for bacteria and e-coli weekly. We deliver to ten different spots in the Denver metro area.

Cottonwood Creek Dairy is a raw milk enterprise offering shares in its Jersey milking herd so that you can have your own source of raw milk. You pay $50 to purchase one share which will yield approximately one gallon of milk per week. This is a one-time ownership fee and you may buy as many shares as you like or sell them back at any time. A regular monthly boarding fee is charged for the cost of feeding, housing and milking the cows. While it is not legal to sell raw milk in the State of Colorado, recent legislation has legalized raw milk distribution through a consumer/farmer contract known as a cow share agreement. Cottonwood Creek Dairy is laying plans to build a micro-dairy to provide raw milk in Central Colorado.

At Ebert Family Farm, we believe in the philosophy of “grass fed is best!”  This is why our Jersey milking herd is never fed any grain and rotationally grazes on about 600 acres of native grass pasture during the growing season. Nestled in the heart of the San Juan Mountains, the James Ranch Dairy is one of only a handful of dairies in the United States that is 100% grain free. We only feed lush, high altitude, cool season pasture during the green season (see "Pasture Perfect" by Jo Robinson for the benefits of 100% grass fed dairy). We feed only hay in the winter. We milk seasonally (April-mid November). The cows get the winter off to grow a healthy calf. Equally as important, we get the winter off to get our sanity back. We built a New Zealand style milking barn which we keep exceptionally clean. Most of our milk goes to our raw milk artisan cheeses which can be purchased on farm or at the Durango and Telluride farmers' markets. In addition to raw milk and cheeses, we have 100% grass fed beef, pasture raised, whey fed pork (Whey-Good Pork), lots of pasture eggs, native tree nursery, and a wide variety of organically raised vegetables. We are located six miles East of Eaton on Weld Country Road 74 then South on Weld Country Road 49 ½ of a mile.  We still have cow milk.  Milking jersey, guernsey,and one brown swiss. Still feeding hay and  a little bit of grain

<p>The Erickson's have milked cows for multiple generations. Their cows are out on grass as much as weather permits.  They do receive just a little grain during milking time. Pine Creek Products, LLC is a family owned and operated farm that is a beautiful 30 minute drive from Castle Rock. If you are on the other side of the Platte, it is a beautiful drive along the Platte River from Woodland Park or Pine. Our goats browse on 35 acres and frequently take hikes, which adds to their optimum health. They are fed a wheat and corn free cereal at milking times and alfalfa during the day. They love the natural greens that are found on our mountain.

In addition to our Alpine goats, we have free range chickens. The chickens are currently enjoying all of the goodness that the new growth of spring provides to them. Their feed is high quality lay crumble and scratch grain with added sunflower seed and flax seed for increased Omega3s. We believe in a natural approach to our health and the health of our animals.
